How exciting!
We’re getting closer and closer to the start of your session.
Here are some suggestions we’d like to share:
Wear clothing that is comfortable and complementary (between the two of you) in both color and style. More tips:
» IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that the couple wears colors that go well with the location. Neutral and earthy tones are best for creating timeless images that stay fresh over the years. We do not recommend bright or flashy colors for this reason.
(Earth tones: Each color has its “earth tone” version, meaning it’s not bright. For example: yellow → mustard yellow, green → moss green, blue → navy blue, red → wine red, etc.)
» Complementary means that if Person 'A' isn’t wearing a certain color, Person 'B' can wear it — and vice versa. (See the photo at the top for reference. This particular couple wore dusty blue + white + khaki, and achieved a harmonious look with each other and the setting. It’s not recommended that both wear a white shirt — it can look too uniform.)
» Avoid tight clothing, as it limits movement. We recommend loose-fitting clothes — but not too baggy.
» Avoid shirts with logos. Plain shirts are preferred.
» You can mix bold patterns with solids. The complementing theory also applies here.
» Coordinate styles so you look cohesive. Keep in mind that style should match the location.
» Props: We always recommend flowers (that match the same earthy color palette — not bright ones). Also, any meaningful vintage items. For clothing, hats and/or scarves (if it’s cold) are welcome. We don’t recommend wearing watches.
The most important thing is to feel comfortable and be yourselves.
Try not to schedule other commitments on the same day so you can feel relaxed and truly enjoy the session.
Please arrive on time! Since we are natural light photographers, the sun dictates how long we can shoot.
We kindly ask that you account for traffic, delays, and any last-minute makeup, hair, or outfit issues ;)A session typically lasts about one to one and a half hours. If you arrive 30 minutes late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.
Our goal is to give you the best photographic experience possible — and arriving on time helps make that happen! :)
